Sales Representative – Gulf Coast Region
National Pump Company has existing Outside Territory
Sales opportunities in our Water Systems Market for the Gulf Coast Region. The
qualified candidate must be able to demonstrate a minimum of (5) five years of
successful territory management and sales in the Water Systems market place.
This position requires successful selling of 4” Submersibles, Shallow Well
Jets, Self-Priming and centrifugal pumps into the Domestic and Commercial
markets for irrigation, lawn sprinkler, municipal water systems and/or
dealer/contractor markets in the Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi
marketing area. A customer following in the medium to larger irrigation
contractors and other direct consumer dealers would be a plus. The ideal
candidate would reside in Central to Southern Florida. This position requires
heavy overnight travel in the assigned territory. The candidate must be a
self-starter and goal orientated and capable of working with minimal
supervision. All company approved expenses provided.
This position offers a generous
salary with an aggressive commission plan for meeting sales objectives. A
company vehicle or vehicle allowance is provided along with a company laptop

Responsibilities include
selling and promoting line shaft turbines, sub-turbines, packaged pump systems,
4” subs, jets and centrifugals to agricultural, irrigation, residential,
municipal water systems and/or industrial and API markets through dealers,
distributors, manufacturer’s reps and consulting engineers. Vertical Turbine
Pump experience and a minimum of 5 years of successful territory management are
required. 80% overnight travel in the assigned territory. Full

Applications/Customer Service Position
Responsibilities
include working with sales and engineering department to insure proper
application methods are followed and support same with documentation, and
ensure proper handling of sales orders until completion, review pump specs and
prepare and submit quotes to customers.
You must be able to understand and apply all aspects of proper
engineering applications to general pump specifications, communicate with
customers, provide technical support to customers, provide written technical
data instructions to engineering, develop, and conduct customer training. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
or comparable experience is required, plus 3-5 years in municipal/industrial
markets, proficient in use of PC’s and software programs, excellent
communication skills and phone manners,
strong analytical and problem solving skills, proven working knowledge
of vertical turbine pumps.
