NATIONAL PUMP COMPANY EARNS COMPLETE PUMP NSF CERTIFICATION
GLENDALE, Arizona – National Pump Company, vertical turbine and submersible pump manufacturer, has received NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 & NSF/ANSI 372 certification for Vertical and Submersible Turbine Pump assemblies as of September 20, 2019. The complete pump, from the suction to the discharge, is certified to pump drinking water without imparting chemical contaminants or impurities that can affect our health.
Every wetted component has been intensely scrutinized by analyzing its chemical composition, operating temperature, surface preparation, surface area and fluid flow. NSF International performed rigorous extraction testing to ensure the components meet the criteria for preventing metals used in the pump’s construction from leeching into the drinking water in compliance with NSF/ANSI/CAN 600, Health Effects Evaluation and Criteria for Chemicals in Drinking Water.
The pumps also meet the Safe Drinking Water Act of the United States to ensure low lead content in accordance to NSF/ANSI 372, Drinking Water System Components – Lead Content. NSF International performs a yearly audit of NPC’s headquarters in Glendale, AZ to verify the facility’s compliance with the certification.
